The new year is well under way and with only a month to go to the opening of the 2018 fishing season in Iceland it’s time to look at some available fishing dates starting with the trout fishing we offer.
Laxa in Laxardalur
We have 3 rods available for the opening days on the river. Very special to the be the first crew fishing the river in 9 months. This is a 3,5 day slot from May 31. – June 3. At that time the river and surrounding nature is just coming to life and the fishing is mostly nymphing. This is the time of year the very big fish are caught.
Price including shared guide, fishing permits and full board is $3.500,- per person.
We also have availability on the days after the opening slot and in June we have availability until June 22. when the river is sold out pretty much until July 9. apart from just a few days. We have availability in the week July 9. – 16. and then the river is sold out until July 30.
Price per day/person is $1.000,- including full board accommodation and shared guide.
Laxa in Myvatnssveit
This is the top beat, known for incredible numbers of big trout. But the access is a little harder and the accommodation is a little more basic than the Laxardalur. This is fishing for the relatively fit angler who does not mind walking a bit for the trophy trout.
We have availability from July 11. – 30. and the odd rod here and there in June. We also have space from August 2. – 9.
Price per day/person is $1.000,- including full board accommodation and shared guide.
Atlantic salmon fishing
We also have some prime dates available for salmon fishing on the Langa and the Straumfjardara Rivers. Available slots this season on the Langa can be seen HERE!
For the Straumfjardara we offer exclusive private fishing for small groups. We have 4 days available prime time from July 25. – 29. Price including transport, full board and guide service is ISK 980.000,- per person.
