About this trip: Both rivers have a strong stock of brown trout but the average size of fish is bigger on the Litla River. In June the fish are starting to feed heavily on the first strong hatches of midges and caddis and so when the conditions are right the dry fly fishing can be great. Both rivers offer great opportunities for nymphing as well as streamer fishing based on individual preferences. Both rivers have very nice lodges with hot tubs, located within walking distance from the rivers. Itinerary:  Nice char caught in Litla in May 2011 Day 1. Arrival in Iceland in the afternoon. Met at the airport by your guide. Transport to the Huseyjarkvisl lodge. Dinner on the way (included). Fishing Huseyjarkvisl trout beat in the evening. Day 2. Fishing Huseyjarkvisl all day with full board accommodation in lodge. Day 3. Fishing Huseyjarkvisl all day with full board accommodation in lodge. Day 4. Leave Huseyjarkvisl in the morning. Drive to Litla River lodge with lunch served on the way. Start fishing Litla River in the afternoon. Full board accommodation in lodge. Day 5. Fish Litla River all day. Full board accommodation in lodge. Day 6. Fish Litla River all day. Full board accommodation in lodge. Day 7. Fish Litla River until noon. Pack up and leave lodge. Domestic flight back to Reykjavik in the afternoon. Transport to either hotel or international airport for international flight. Trip includes: 5 full days guided fishing.
