Hitching on the Huseyjarkvisl River

Hitching on the Huseyjarkvisl River

Have you ever tried hitching for Atlantic salmon? If not you are sure in for a treat when you do try it. The fact that you are casting to fresh Atlantic salmon with a single handed fly rod, a floating line and a very small plastic tube (and sometimes small flies) is to me appealing in it's own sense. Imagine skating that fly or small tube on the surface, watching it make that perfect V shape pattern on the surface of the water. All you hear is the sound of the river and the birds singing. You are at perfect peace. Then you get knocked back into reality when the surface of the water explodes and the salmon has hammered your fly skating on the surface, turned and is now diving again. Trick is to wait before you tighten up.

If this sounds at all appealing to you then we have the fishing permits for you to try it out. You see one of our rivers Huseyjarkvisl is perfect for fishing with a fly and above all perfect for fishing the hitch. We have fantastic spots available in that river for the 2012 season. The river is sold out except for these spots:

July 8. - 11. Three days fishing, accommodation included. Only one rod left.

We have two other anglers fishing the river at that time. Price for the fishing permits is €1.090,- for the 3 days incl. accommodation. Contact me in regards to a full service package at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

August 1. - 3. Two and a half days fishing. Starting at 16:00 on August 1. and finishing at 22:00 on August 3. 3 rods available. Also possible to combine with other rivers to make a longer trip.

Full service package incl. transport, all meals and non-alcoholic drinks, guide service, fishing and accommodation: €1.520,- per person

Contact me for details as well as the option to extend at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

August 11. - 14. Three days fishing. Also possible to combine with other rivers and extend. Great package available with these dates combined with Brunna River.

Full service package for these 3 days in Huseyjarkvisl incl. transport, all meals and non-alcoholic drinks, guide service, fishing and accommodation: €1.740,- per person

That is all we have left for prime time salmon fishing on Huseyjarkvisl. For more information on hitching:
