Iceland Angling Travel offers a wide variety of day trips with a starting point in Reykjavik city. We have all fishing gear and waders available to rent so you will not have to worry about a thing. We can tailor make a trip at your request and it can include all kinds of services and activities. We provide food, guides, transport and gear upon your request and we can take you almost anywhere. Almost!!

Iceland offers excellent fishing in lakes and small streams, many of them close to our capital, Reykjavik. Within a short driving distance you can experience breathtaking scenery and great fishing experience. We understand that you may have a busy schedule while staying in Iceland but we also understand that you may want to get some fishing done while here. Perhaps without travelling with all your fishing gear.

Fishing day trip examples:

A nice brown caught in a lake in Iceland

Example 1:

We pick you up at your hotel or a location of your choice in the greater Reykjavik city area between 9:00 - 10:00 in the morning. We get waders and gear for the trip and then head east about 90 kilometers from Reykjavik where we fish the Laugarvatn lake and Holaariver for a lake/stream combination for both brown trout and char. There we have lunch made from Icelandic ingredients and then keep on fishing. We move around the area looking for the best spots to fish and adapt to different conditions. Some light refreshments will be served during the day upon your request. At around 17:00 we drive you back to your hotel.

Example 2:

We pick you up at your hotel or a location of your choice in the greater Reykjavik city area between 7:00 - 9:00 in the morning and take you to the Varma River where we will target big brown trout, char or sea trout depending on time of year. We will provide lunch and have you back at your hotel at your convenience but no later that 22:30 in the evening.

We can provide all gear if neccessary for extra fee. Please let us know your requirements beforehand.
